Somen
(Cold Noodle)


ingredients for 4 servings:
  • (A)dipping sauce/ water :1cup + mirin (sweet sake) :1/4cup + soy sauce :1-1/2tbs + clear DASHI SAUCE :1/4cup
  • (B)condiments for dipping sauce/ finely chopped green onion :1/4cup + grated ginger :4tsp + roasted sesame seeds :1tsp
  • dried somen noodle ( or udon noodle)
cooking method:
  1. Bring group (A) to a boil and cool.
  2. Boil somen noodle in plenty of water 3-8minutes, stirring to keep from sticking.
  3. Rinse well in water and drain.
  4. Place noodles in serving plate, Dipping sauce and condiments (B) in separate small cup and plate.
note: boiled shrimp, seallop, crab or other seafoods can be used as garnish.
